START
Brock Osweiler, QB, Arizona State - Osweiler had a reality check against Illinois on the road last week (one touchdown, two interceptions). This week he returns to the friendly confines of Sun Devil Stadium and faces off against Pac-12 rival USC in a primetime game. Osweiler should rise to the occasion and prove that he isn't a fluke.
Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma - Stills looked great last week, posting a 125-yard performance against a tough Florida State defense. This could be a breakout season for Stills who exhibited great speed and athleticism in his freshman season. Start him this weekend against Mizzou.
Jordan Hall, RB, Ohio State - Hall returned from his suspension last week and outperformed incumbent starter Carlos Hyde. He hasn't been handed the starting job, but this should be the week he takes over against a less-than-stellar Colorado defense.
Davin Meggett, RB, Maryland - Meggett has been solid through the first two games of the season (102.5 YPG, 5.1 YPC). This weekend Maryland faces a strong Temple secondary, and you can bet both sides will run the ball. Meggett should receive 20-plus carries and find the endzone. He makes a nice flex option this Saturday.
Derek Moye, WR, Penn State - Moye put up triple-digit receiving yards against a tough Temple secondary last week. This week, he gets a much more forgiving Eastern Michigan defense. Expect him to reach the century mark again and find the endzone for the first

Chase Rettig, QB, Boston College - Rettig hasn't blown anyone away with his play so far this year, but his next game may be an exception. Boston College faces a weak non-FBS opponent (Massachusetts) this weekend. Combine that with the fact that the Eagles defense might be porous enough to keep Massachusetts in the game, and you have a recipe for a strong fantasy day. Rettig could be a high-upside bye-week fill-in.
SIT
Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson - Boyd has been a hot pickup through the first few weeks of the season, and deservedly so (67.0 completion percentage, 10 touchdowns). But stop and look at the defenses he has faced. Troy, Wofford and Auburn are not intimidating anyone. Also keep in mind that a decent chunk of his 386 yards last week were gained on athletic plays after the catch by his receivers. This week might be a different story for Boyd as faces a stout Florida State defense. Find out whether he can handle this difficult test while he is on your bench.
Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina - South Carolina faces a tough Vanderbilt defense in a conference matchup. While Jeffery is an elite talent, his quarterback Stephen Garcia is not. If the Gamecocks plan on winning this game, they will have the offense run through Marcus Lattimore. Consider benching Jeffery this weekend.
Ronnie Hillman, RB, San Diego State - Hillman has been on an absolute tear through San Diego State's first three games this season, but that may come to a screeching halt Saturday. Hillman's coach last season, Brady Hoke, is now the head coach at Michigan, SDSU's opponent this week. If anyone knows how to shut down the Aztecs' most dangerous offensive weapon, it will be Hoke. Keep Hillman's expectations in check this week.
James Vandenberg, QB, Iowa - Vandenberg put up big numbers last week against Pitt (399 yards, four total touchdowns). The sudden burst in production from a quarterback who averaged 213 YPG can be attributed to the flow of the game. Iowa was playing from behind and needed Vandenberg to put the team on his back, as demonstrated by his 48 pass attempts. The Hawkeyes normally win by grinding it out on the ground and playing tough defense, which is not a recipe for fantasy quarterback success. Do not be fooled by last week's performance, and keep Vandenberg on the bench outside of Big Ten-only leagues.
Danny O'Brien, QB, Maryland - O'Brien was expected to have a good season, and probably still will; but his offensive woes should continue this week against Temple. The Owls boast one of the nation's top secondaries and they should stifle O'Brien this weekend. His breakout game may have to wait another week, keep O'Brien on the bench.
La'Rod King, WR, Kentucky - This "sit" only applies to those who play in deep leagues. King has started the year strong, scoring in all three of Kentucky's games; but he may not be so lucky against Florida. Not only does Florida have a top-tier defense, but it is also playing on national television and will be running on all cylinders. Don't get cute - keep King on the bench this week.
