Following the steps of ESL, DreamHack has revealed that Dust2 will be entering its map pool starting with the qualifiers for DreamHack Valencia. Once the qualifiers get underway on May 4, Dust2 will officially be back in full force.

Cobblestone isn't going away just yet, however. Due to the timing of Dust2's release, DreamHack is keeping Cobblestone in the map pool for the DreamHack Summer Qualifiers, which start up on April 27. Having two different map pools at the different qualifiers sets up an interesting situation where teams will have to adjust their vetoes just a week apart at the different qualifiers. The move isn't exactly unexpected, however, given that other tournament organizers have already begun the switch.

DreamHack follows the recent announcement from Valve, who released an update on April 20, titled "Smoke Mid Every Day". ESL wasted no time and forced Dust2 across all of their tournament platforms with immediate effect, including IEM Sydney which is set to start early next week. Shortly after, ESEA also removed Cobblestone from the map pool at the MDL Global Challenge LAN to make room for Dust2.
