DraftKings features a two-game NFL preseason slate Sunday. As always, the biggest concern with the preseason is how much playing time players will get. This week, most starters will get more run than they did in Week 1 of preseason, but they'll be pulled anywhere from the mid-first to the mid-second quarter. I will list a mix of choices between veterans and players trying to establish themselves.
Before setting final lineups, be sure to check the RotoWire news to see if there's any last-minute updates regarding playing time/roles. Finally, all players have the same salary during preseason, so you may start any combination of players you wish in any of the site's contests.
QUARTERBACK
Matt Ryan, ATL at PIT - Ryan was perfect last week, completing all three of his passes for 32 yards and a TD. He'll get more playing time this week and should pick apart the Steelers' secondary, making a pair of scores a possibility.
Joshua Dobbs, PIT vs ATL - On a small slate, Dobbs is a reasonable play as he should see the field for an extended period. Although he threw a pair of INTs last week, he did throw for 100 yards and a TD, as well. In addition, he easily could chip in with some rushing yards, and that can boost his fantasy score to a point where he could finish as the day's top QB.
RUNNING BACK
Terron Ward, ATL at PIT - Especially with Devonta Freeman (concussion) expected to sit this one out, Ward could see plenty of playing time once Tevin Coleman is finished for the day. In last week's game, he rushed for 48 yards and a score and chipped in three catches for an additional 16 yards. Volume makes him a nice DFS choice.
Alvin Kamara, NO at LAC - In his pro debut, Kamara was used to run between the tackles, and he did so with great success as he turned four carries into 35 yards. He should see more work this week, and don't be surprised to see coach Sean Payton dial up a few passes to get him acclimated to his role in the offense.
WIDE RECEIVER
Brandon Coleman, NO at LAC - Coleman should see plenty of time against the Chargers' second-string defense, and after catching all three of his passes last week, he could add to that volume, especially if QB Chase Daniel is given significant playing time. In addition, should the Saints get near the goal line, the 6-foot-6 Coleman could easily see an end-zone target.
Mohamed Sanu, ATL at PIT - Matt Ryan threw just three passes last week, but he should see more work against the Steelers and likely will look to improve the chemistry he built with Sanu in their first year together. On a slate with just two games, most fantasy owners likely will be on Julio Jones, but Sanu is a much sneakier contrarian play.
TIGHT END
Clay Harbor, NO at LAC - When Harbor has had opportunities, he's been a solid player with some playmaking ability. He was targeted three times last week and could play a significant portion of Sunday's game. He easily could have a productive game against backup defenders.
Antonio Gates, LAC vs. NO - The Chargers should have their starters on the field for the majority the first half, and although Gates won't likely see a ton of targets, he always has a fantastic chance to find the end zone. Even in last week's preseason game, he caught both of his targets for 10 yards and a score.
DEFENSE
Atlanta Falcons (at PIT) - The Steelers tend to rest many of the regulars during preseason games, so on a two-game slate, the Falcons defense makes sense, especially since it's likely that the regulars will play for an extended time.
Los Angeles Chargers (vs. NO) - The Saints tend to let their reserves play quite a bit during the preseason. That makes the Chargers defense a reasonable DFS play on a small slate of games.
