Start/Upgrade 👍

Quarterbacks 👍

Start Over — Sam Darnold (at LAR), Jordan Love (at NYG), Jared Goff (at PHI)

Flacco threw for 342 yards and three TDs against the Steelers in Week 7, leading the Bengals to a 33-31 victory. Pittsburgh's defense has played somewhat better since then, led by a strong group of pass rushers, but the secondary remains a clear weakness in terms of both speed and overall performance. CB Darius Slay (concussion) is well past his prime, but backup James Pierre is unlikely to be any better. Long story short, Flacco should do his usual thing with around 40 pass attempts and 250-plus yards, even if there are also sacks and turnovers mixed in. He belongs in fantasy lineups ahead of many guys that are better real-life QBs.

Running Backs 👍

Start Over — D'Andre Swift (at MIN), Quinshon Judkins (vs. BAL), Travis Etienne (vs. LAC)

Jones has somewhat quietly taken on a dominant portion of Minnesota's backfield work when healthy something that's perhaps gone unnoticed because he left early in Week 9 with a shoulder injury and then finished Week 10 with just nine carries (but six targets) when Minnesota trailed by multiple scores for much of the game. J.J. McCarthy's struggles do equate to increased risk for negative game script, even in seemingly favorable matchups, but KOC's lack of faith in McCarthy can also mean that more of the offensive burden falls on Minnesota's RBs in close games or when leading. This week, the Vikings are field-goal favorites over a Bears team that's allowing RBs to average 4.92 yards per carry (26th).

Start Over — Rachaad White (at BUF), David Montgomery (at PHI), Kenneth Walker (at LAR)

There are few things less intimidating than a Tennessee defense without DT Jeffery Simmons (hamstring). The closest thing the Titans have to a star, Simmons missed the past two games and still isn't practicing after a Week 10 bye. Things set up nicely for Marks in terms of both volume and efficiency, playing as a 6.5-point favorite with a backup QB, right after seeing major role expansion in the dramatic win over Jacksonville last week. Fire him up as a solid RB2 for Week 11.

Wide Receivers 👍

Start Over — DK Metcalf (vs. CIN), AJ Brown (vs. DET), Zay Flowers (at CLE)

As much as Flacco hones in on Ja'Marr Chase, the 40-year-old QB has also worked out well for Higgins, providing regular opportunities for the league's best jump-ball receiver to show off his skills. Higgins put up 6-96-1 on a season-high 10 targets just four weeks ago versus this same Pittsburgh defense, and he may now spend a good chunk of this upcoming Sunday lined up across from backup cornerback James Pierre.

Start Over — Tez Johnson (at BUF), Keenan Allen (at JAX), Rashid Shaheed (at LAR), Keon Coleman (vs. TB)

New York has given up 507 yards (fourth most) on throws of 20-plus air yards and 1,277 yards (third most) on throws of 10-plus air yards, allowing the seventh-most PPR points (35.7 per game) to WRs in the process. There aren't many better matchups for a downfield-oriented wideout, and while Watson was quiet against the Eagles in Monday's loss, he finished the game with season highs for snap share (82%) and route share (80%).

Both numbers were actually higher before Romeo Doubs left with a chest injury, in part because Green Bay used 11 personnel more often in the absence of TE Tucker Kraft (ACL). Watson is always risky, but there are a few different trends working in his favor right now, making him a strong play in DFS and a reasonable redraft option for those in need of WR3 or FLEX help.

Tight Ends 👍

Start Over — Dallas Goedert (vs. DET), Jake Ferguson (at LV), Kyle Pitts (vs. CAR)

Gadsden was a full practice participant Wednesday, apparently making a quick recovery from the quad injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over Pittsburgh. His production has been down the past two weeks, but his target rate (21.2%) in that time is nearly identical to his season-long number (21.4%) and he still easily leads the Chargers in yards per route run (2.26) on the year.

Gadsden should be right back in his three-down role this week if there's no setback with the quad bruise, facing an ice-cold Jacksonville defense that just gave up 12-127-3 to Brock Bowers and 7-53-1 to Dalton Schultz. Only the Bengals have allowed more PPR points to tight ends this season.

Sit/Downgrade 👎

Quarterbacks 👎

  • Bo Nix (vs. KC) — 59% started

Start Instead — Matthew Stafford (vs. SEA), Baker Mayfield (at BUF), Dak Prescott (at LV)

Nix has some massive stat lines this year, but he's been inconsistent for both the Broncos and fantasy managers, and he now sits just 12th among QBs with 18.6 fantasy points per game (after a Week 10 dud against the Raiders). While his volume figures to rebound this week, Nix gets a tough matchup for passing efficiency against a Chiefs defense that looks to have all 11 starters available after a bye week. Kansas City may be the healthiest team in the NFL right now, which is bad news for the rest of the AFC.

Running Backs 👎

Start Instead — RJ Harvey (vs. KC), Kimani Vidal (at JAX), Aaron Jones (vs. CHI)

The Eagles haven't been dominant against the run this year, but they haven't been bad, and their defense remains strong overall, loaded with both high-end talent and solid depth. It's a suboptimal matchup in terms of both yardage efficiency and TD odds, with the additional concern of Jahmyr Gibbs taking on a larger-than-usual workload in what projected to be a close game against a fellow NFC heavyweight. Montgomery is always startable if you really need him, but this is a good week to keep him on the bench if you've got a reasonable RB2-type alternative.

Start Instead — Woody Marks (at TEN), Rachaad White (at BUF)

There's always some chance interim head coach Mike Kafka gives Tracy more work at Devin Singletary's expense, and both RBs project for a much larger share of goal-line carries with Jaxson Dart (concussion) temporarily out of the lineup. Still, Tracy has a lot going against him this week, with Jameis Winston temporarily under center for an injury-riddled team that's been heavily reliant on Dart's rushing and off-script playmaking in recent weeks.

Including Dart, the Giants had six starters absent from Wednesday's practice due to injuries, plus another two that were limited participants after missing Sunday's loss at Chicago. That's not even counting players on injured reserve a group that includes three more starters, the replacement for one of those starters, and now kicker Graham Gano. It's a sad state of affairs, putting the team's RBs in a position where it'll be tough to pile up carries (especially near the goal line).

Wide Receivers 👎

Start Instead — Jauan Jennings (at ARZ), Jordan Addison (vs. CHI), Tetairoa McMillan (at ATL)

Encouraging as the early returns with Dan Campbell calling plays may be, one big performance doesn't completely erase Williams' volume concerns. He may be a cheat code on crossing routes, but the Eagles are one of the few teams well-equipped to defend those, and not just because of CBs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. A strong pass rush can disrupt Jared Goff, while speedy linebackers Zack Baun and Jihad Campbell help cover the middle of the field (when they aren't blitzing). I wouldn't bench Williams for a random streamer or anything like that, but it's worth considering the alternative if we're talking about a steady WR3.

Start Instead — Tre Tucker (vs. DAL), Parker Washington (vs. LAC), Christian Watson (at NYG)

I'll admit that it's not easy for me to bench a WR coming off four straight games with eight or more targets. Upon further inspection, it's not so hard, with Marvin Mims (concussion) seemingly ready to return and the Broncos now facing a tough, healthy defense. Three of Franklin's past four matchups were against some of the worst defenses in the league, while the fourth was an 8.5-PPR-point showing on 10 targets against Houston. His per-target numbers are some of the worst in the league among starting WRs, seemingly begging for the Broncos to figure out something on offense where they aren't asking the 22-year-old, 180-pound Franklin to masquerade as a No. 1 receiver. Even if he's deployed similarly, there's no guarantee of volume translating to fantasy production against Kansas City.

Tight Ends 👎

Start Instead — Dallas Goedert (vs. DET), Kyle Pitts (vs. CAR), Zach Ertz (at MIA)

Andrews scored three TDs over the past two weeks, but he's still not getting much volume (4.2 targets per game) and has yet to score more than 10 PPR points without the help of a TD. One of those games was a Week 2 matchup with Cleveland in which Andrews caught just one pass for two yards even though Lamar Jackson was healthy and Isaiah Likely wasn't. Andrews has decent TD odds whenever Jackson plays, but the target and yardage projection both look poor in a game where the Ravens are heavily favored to win against a team that's excellent on defense but terrible on offense.
