OwnersBox NFL DFS: Week 15 Picks

OwnersBox NFL DFS: Week 15 Picks

This article is part of our DFS NFL series.

OwnersBox's SuperFlex contests provide participants with a chance to roster up to two quarterbacks per lineup, opening up the opportunity for major scoring boosts and a more entertaining fantasy sweat overall.

Each week of the NFL regular season, we'll break down appealing candidates in the main Sunday slate for OwnersBox's NFL SuperFlex DFS contests.

Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers, GB at BAL ($7,700)

Rodgers enters this favorable matchup on an absolute tear, having scored 32 to 43 fantasy points in his last three games on the strength of a trio of 300-yard efforts and a 10:0 TD:INT over that span. His infamous and lingering toe injury is causing him to miss plenty of practice time, but Rodgers is fully expected to suit and helm the offense in this interconference battle. The Ravens make for an excellent target at this point in the season, as they've suffered injuries to multiple defensive backs and are allowing an AFC-high 288.8 passing yards per home game, along with an NFL-high 13.4 yards per completion in that split. Baltimore is also tied for the second-highest explosive pass play rate surrendered (11%), furthering Rodgers' prospects.

Matthew Stafford, LAR vs. SEA ($7,700)

Stafford threw for 365 yards and a touchdown in his first meeting versus the Seahawks this season, a performance that led to 20 fantasy points. The veteran gunslinger has scored 27 to 31 fantasy points in his last three games, posting a stellar 9:1 TD:INT in that sample. Stafford has also completed an impressive 68.1 percent of his passes and posted a 16:3 TD:INT at home this season. The Seahawks arrive allowing 271.3 passing yards per road game, along with a 68.4 percent completion rate in that split.

ALSO CONSIDER: Kyler Murray, ARI at DET ($8,200)

Running Backs

James Conner, ARI at DET ($6,500)

Several running backs carrying heftier salaries than Conner are in tough matchups that could well make it difficult for them to provide adequate returns, but the Cardinals' lead back offers a nice combination of savings and a favorable scenario. Conner was able to return to practice Friday after resting a sore ankle for the first two days of the practice week. There is a chance Chase Edmonds is activated from injured reserve prior to Sunday's contest, but Conner remains in play thanks to a massive red-zone role (40 RZ touches in 13 games), his pass-catching ability and his matchup against a Lions squad allowing 135.2 rushing yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry. Detroit has also given up 22 total TDs to RBs (14 rushing, eight receiving) and an NFC-high 74.5 percent red-zone TD success rate, all metrics that point toward a potentially prolific day for Conner.

Myles Gaskin, MIA vs. NYJ ($5,700)

Gaskin has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he should be rested and refreshed for a home matchup against a Jets defense that he posted 17 fantasy points on three games ago. New York has allowed the fifth-most rushing yards per road game (140.5) while conceding a healthy 4.6 yards per carry to running backs. The Jets have allowed an NFL-high 90 receptions and AFC-high 797 receiving yards to backs, while Gaskin has a solid 45-217-4 line on 56 targets in 13 games, notching multiple catches in 11 of those contests.

ALSO CONSIDER: Antonio Gibson, WAS at PHI ($6,100)

Wide Receivers

Cooper Kupp, LAR vs. SEA ($7,900)

Kupp has been outstanding all season, as his average of 25.4 fantasy points attests. He'll enter this contest having hit at least 20 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games, a sample that includes three tallies over 30 fantasy points. Kupp is averaging a whopping 11.6 targets per game, and in addition to the various deficiencies of the Seahawks secondary already enumerated in Stafford's entry, Seattle has also given up the eighth-most receptions (174) to wide receivers.

Chris Godwin, TB vs. NO ($6,900)

Godwin has been another target monster the majority of the season, and he'll come into this Sunday night battle having logged a jaw-dropping 32 looks over his last pair of contests. The Penn State product also has 18 to 29 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and he hung 28 fantasy points against New Orleans back on Halloween. New Orleans has given up the third-highest explosive pass play rate (10%) in the league, making Godwin one of the best potential fantasy-point-per-dollar plays at his position this week.

Diontae Johnson, PIT vs. TEN ($6,700)

Johnson is yet another wideout whose role in the offense locks him into a robust target share, and he's logged double-digit looks in five straight games. While efficiency hasn't exactly been his strong suit, he does have a 36-460-3 line during that span, and he's drawn a target on 25.0 percent of routes in the sample. The Titans have allowed an NFL-high 200 receptions to wideouts, along with an NFL-high 2,569 receiving yards and the second-most TDs to the position (16), while Johnson has a career-high 16 red-zone touches this season.

ALSO CONSIDER: DeVonta Smith, PHI vs. WAS ($6,100)

Tight Ends

George Kittle, SF vs. ATL ($6,900)

Kittle is a no-brainer selection given his recent play and his elite talent. Kittle has racked up 39 and 34 fantasy points in his last two games on the strength of a 22-332-3 line on 27 targets. The perennial Pro Bowler has five double-digit fantasy-point tallies in his last six games overall, and he could be in prime position to repeat the feat again In Week 15. The Falcons have struggled to stop the pass at times this season, allowing 249.4 passing yards per road game, and 275.7 in their last three contests overall. Additionally, Atlanta has surrendered a 58-621-7 line to tight ends, along with the sixth-highest red-zone TD success rate on the road (71.9 percent).

Mike Gesicki, MIA vs. NYJ ($4,700)

Gesicki is another Dolphins skill-position player with a strong chance of thriving in Week 15, as the Jets have given up a robust 68-828-7 line to tight ends, along with an NFL-high 12% explosive pass play rate. Gesicki has six double-digit fantasy-point tallies overall this season, and with Miami also likely without Jaylen Waddle on Sunday due to COVID-19, Gesicki could be in for a bump on the 6.9 targets per game he's already averaging.

ALSO CONSIDER: Dalton Schultz, DAL at NYG ($4,900)
