This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.
It's been a long, strange journey, but it ends here. The NHL regular season is over Saturday. Thirty teams are in action - sorry Ducks - but two of the games are in the afternoon. Still, that means you have 13 games worth of teams to choose from for your daily fantasy lineup. Here are my recommendations.
GOALIE
Matt Murray, PIT vs. NYR ($8,800): Remember when Murray was struggling and Casey DeSmith was having to shoulder the load? That feels like forever ago. We blinked, and suddenly Murray is sitting here with a 2.66 GAA and .920 save percentage. The Penguins get to end the year against a Rangers team that is on the road for the second night of a back-to-back with nothing to gain by winning.
CENTER
Ryan Johansen, NAS vs. CHI ($5,600): Johansen has recorded 50 assists, but he's not known as a goal scorer. However, he actually has potted three goals in his last five contests, giving him 14 goals on the year. As for the Blackhawks, they come in with a 3.70 road GAA and are on the second night of a back-to-back.
Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs. NJD ($5,600): Injuries have limited Trocheck to 54 games, and his 6.5 shooting percentage is another sign of the bad luck he's endured this year, but he's picked it up recently. The 25-year-old has picked up six points over his last nine contests. New Jersey has been basically tanking down the stretch, including a 3.90 GAA away from home.
WING
Jonathan Marchessault, VGK at LOS ($7,300): Marchessault is hot to end the season, with 11 points in his last 10 games. This year, he's also averaged 2:42 per game with the extra man while notching 16 power-play points. Meanwhile, the Kings - who are on the second night of a back-to-back - own the 29th-ranked penalty kill.
Tyler Bertuzzi, DET vs. BUF ($5,400): What has gotten into Bertuzzi recently? He's tallied three points in four of his last five games, and 21 shots on goal over his last six outings. The Sabres have been the worst defensive team in the NHL by a wide margin since the All-Star break with a 3.84 GAA.
Jared McCann, PIT vs. NYR ($4,200): McCann has been skating on Pittsburgh's top line with Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel for a while now. It's paid off to a degree, as he's racked up eight goals in his last 20 games to go with five assists. The Rangers come in with a 3.78 GAA and have allowed 35.7 shots on net per contest on the road, and will also be ending the season on the second leg of a back-to-back.
DEFENSE
Shea Weber, MON vs. TOR ($5,800): Weber managed 14 goals on 158 shots this season, even though he was limited to 57 games due to injury. He's also blocked 109 shots for good measure, so he can add fantasy value on that front. The Maple Leafs sported a 3.71 GAA in March. And while April has gone better at 2.67, that's only a three-game sample size.
Rasmus Andersson, CGY vs. EDM ($3,900): The Flames have been resting their big guns for the playoffs, which has given players like Andersson more playing time - including on the power play. It's paid off for the Swede so far, as he's registered a point in three of his last four games. The Oilers have struggled defensively all year, with a 3.48 road GAA and the league's 30th-ranked penalty kill.
