On Tuesday night, the National Hockey League has just one game on the schedule. However, it's a rather interesting game, as the Dallas Stars travel to meet the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena at 9 p.m. on ESPN+. It's the calm before the storm, as we have 15 games on Wednesday before the teams are off Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
We'll take a look at some same-game parlay (SGP) possibilities, and we'll also kick the tires on some game prop plays to make things a little more interesting. Let's get started.

NHL Best Bets for Dallas Stars vs Edmonton Oilers Matchup
Dallas Stars
at Edmonton Oilers
The Stars (13-5-4) and Oilers (10-9-5) tangle at Rogers Arena in Edmonton, AB, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN+, as the appetizer for our Wednesday main course of NHL action before the Thanksgiving holiday. Can you tell I am getting a little hungry?
This has turned into a nice little rivalry in recent seasons, and the Stars have an axe to grind after getting bumped off in the playoffs by the Oilers last season in six games, especially after Dallas led that series 2-0.
Dallas started the redemption tour with a 4-3 victory in a shootout at American Airlines Center back on Nov. 4 in the first meeting, winning as a slight favorite (-115) as the Over (6) cashed.
Edmonton got off to a quick start in the Metroplex, with Vasily Podkolzin striking for an even-strength goal, before Leon Draisaitl lit the lamp on the power play, with helpers to Jack Roslovic and his partner-in-crime, Connor McDavid.
The Stars reeled it back with a PPG to Mikko Rantanen, but McDavid made it 3-1 early in the third. Rantanen then answered, with Miro Heiskanen tying it 3-3 late in the third. Oh, and Wyatt Johnston had helpers on all three goals in regulation, too.

In the shootout, Johnston snapped one past Stuart Skinner in Round 3, as the Stars made a winner of backup Casey DeSmith, who turned back 23 of 26 shots in regulation and overtime, while saving two of three in the shootout.
Dallas has picked up six victories in the past eight games, going 6-1-1. It has had a flair for the dramatic, too, as since Oct. 23, the Stars have played in 12 one-goal games out of the past 16 outings, including three games in overtime (with one win) and three shootouts (with one win vs. EDM).
Edmonton exacted a little revenge on Saturday night, topping the Florida Panthers 6-3 in Sunrise in a Stanley Cup Final rematch, winning as short 'dogs (+110) as the Over (5.5) cashed. Still, Edmonton is just 1-2-1 in the past four games, and the offense has been a bit Jekyll and Hyde lately. It's either all or nothing. The Oil have four or more goals in four of the past six games, but also just one goal apiece in the other two games.
For the total, the Over is 7-3 across the past 10 games for the Oilers, as they've allowed a total of 43 goals in the 10-game span, or 4.3 GPG. That's been a great recipe for total bettors wanting to go high.
While the Stars enter on a 3-game Under run, the Over has a 6-5 edge in 11 November games, while going 3-3 in six road contests.
We're going to roll with Stars on the moneyline, and we'll take the Over, based on the trends.
As far as game props, it's rather interesting that the 'Will There Be Overtime?' prop pays +340. That's too tempting, so let's roll the dice on that, going lightly. And, if you REALLY want to get wild, playing the 60 Min Correct Score, tie +1300, can help you multiply by 13 times. Let's go crazy.
