On Sunday, we have a total of three games in the National Hockey League (NHL), with two of the games involving teams playing on Saturday. We're isolating the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning matchup at Raymond James Stadium, a Stadium Series outdoor game, as our solo contest for betting, as it's tough wagering in games involving teams playing on no rest.
We'll take a look at some same-game parlay (SGP) possibilities, and we'll also kick the tires on some player props to make things a little more interesting. Let's get started!

Expert NHL Best Bets for Bruins vs Lightning Matchup
Boston Bruins
at Tampa Bay Lightning
The Bruins (32-20-3) and the Lightning (34-14-4) meet at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa at 6:30 p.m. ET, and it can be viewed or streamed on ESPN. It's the first part of a doubleheader on ESPN, as the Vegas Golden Knights and Anaheim Ducks meet at 9:30 p.m. ET in the second end.
Mother Nature has smiled upon the NHL, the Tampa Bay area, as temperatures are forecasted to be 42 degrees at puck drop, which is unseasonably cool for Central Florida. We'll have clear conditions with an 8-12 mph wind, and humidity around 65 percent, which could make for some sticky ice.
The Atlantic Division rivals meet for the second time in four matchups this season, with the teams set to meet April 4 in Tampa, and April 11 in Boston.
Tampa Bay won the first meeting 4-3 at TD Garden on Oct. 13, cashing as a moderate favorite (-170) as the Over (6.5) cashed. The Lightning have won five of the past seven meetings since Feb. 13, 2024, too, while the Over has cashed in three of the past four in the series. The winning team has scored four or more goals in five consecutive meetings, while the winner has posted at least three goals in nine straight in the series.

The Bruins doubled up the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 at home on Thursday behind Jeremy Swayman, who kicked aside 33 of 36 shots. Boston had six different goals scorers, as Viktor Arvidsson opened the scoring midway through the first period, while Pavel Zacha added a goal 41 seconds later to build a 2-0 lead.
In the second period, Fraser Minten made it 3-0 before Travis Konecny finally got the Flyers on the board. Casey Mittelstadt and Tanner Jeannot notched goals to make it 4-1, and Marat Khusnutdinov had an empty-net goal for the sixth and final goal for the B's. Boston was able to post the rout despite zero points from superstar David Pastrnak. Meanwhile, Mittelstadt added two assists for the three-point night.
Boston is 4-0-1 in the past five games, 10-1-1 in the past 12 games, and 12-2-2 across the past 16 outings since Dec. 29. The Over is 6-1 in the past seven games, too.
Tampa Bay posted a 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets as heavy favorites (-185) last time out as the Under (5.5) hung on. Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 23 of 24 shots in a battle against defending Vezina Trophy champ Connor Hellebuyck for the victory.
The Lightning had four different scorers, as Dominic James opened the scoring in the first period with helpers to J.J. Moser and Darren Raddysh. The latter was back for a goal just 97 seconds into the second period, while Yanni Gourde got on the board late in the second, with Raddysh back for another helper, and Nikita Kucherov on the board with secondary assist. Kooch had an empty-net goal, and Gourde carved his way into three-point night with the secondary apple.
Since a 6-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Dec. 20, the Lightning have been on quite the roll. Tampa Bay is 16-1-1, collecting 33 out of a possible 36 points, and that lone regulation loss was in Columbus on Jan. 24 with Jonas Johansson in between the pipes. The Under is 7-1-1 in the past nine outings.
We're going to stick with the Lightning to stay hot, but take the Bruins with the goal and a half on the puck line. The Over has dominated for the B's, and despite the fact the Lightning have crushed the Under lately, with just 5.5 total goals, that's a low number. However, we could see some sticky ice to hold scores down early before the teams acclimate.
For the player props, we'll keep it simple. Kucherov has at least one goal in three of the past four games, yet he is still plus-money as an Anytime Goal Scorer. He is working on a seven-game point streak with four goals and 11 points with a plus-5 rating in the span.
And, with Pastrnak getting blanked last time out, look for him to be antsy, trying to get on track by firing all kinds of rubber at Vasilevskiy. Will he score? Doesn't matter to us. Let's go with Pasta to notch at least three shots on goal, but only play that as part of a multi-leg parlay. It's too much risk, and not enough reward, to play straight up.
