Dominic Calvert-Lewin came into Gameweek 5 as the only player in the Premier League to score in every game and he remains in that spot as he found the back of the net in Everton's 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the latest Merseyside derby. The Everton striker leads the league with seven goals, though he shares the top spot with Tottenham's Son Heung-Min, who scored against West Ham to help him keep pace.
Mohamed Salah also scored in the Merseyside derby, leaving him one goal behind Calvert-Lewin and Son, which is enough for the oddsmakers to keep him as the favorite to win the Golden Boot at +375, with Son's teammate Harry Kane close behind at +400 after bagging a brace in that West Ham match, his second consecutive match with two goals. Calvert-Lewin (+600) and Son (+800) round out the top four, and they're starting to create a little separation between themselves and the rest of the field. As a reminder, Calvert-Lewin and Son each opened at +6600.
Our biggest mover was Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, who connected from the penalty spot on Crystal Palace's only shot in their 1-1 draw with Brighton at Selhurst Park. Zaha has four goals in five games, which matches his total from all of last season. He's still a long-shot to win the Golden Boot, but if you got him at +15000 before the international break, you've got to feel pretty good seeing it at +8000 now.
We also saw a new entrant to the field, with Manchester United's Edinson Cavani debuting at +5000, putting him on level odds with Neal Maupay (four), Callum Wilson (four), Alexandre Lacazette (three goals) and Ollie Watkins (three). It wouldn't be crazy to see him make up the ground on those guys, though they have the benefit of being clear starters for their teams, while Cavani seems more likely to be used as a depth attacker. And with Cavani joining in, we said goodbye to Edward Nketiah, Donny van de Beek and Lucas Moura, who are no longer being offered after last being available at +15000, +15000 and +20000, respectively.
