DraftKings MLS: Wednesday Picks

GOALKEEPER

David Bingham, SJ v. HOU ($4,200): The Earthquakes are a significantly better defensive team at home than on the road, allowing just two goals in five matches at Avaya Stadium, shutting out the Rapids (1-0 win), Red Bulls (2-0 win) and Sporting KC (1-0 win), while allowing one goal each to the Timbers (2-1 win) and D.C. United (1-1 draw). Bingham is the second-highest priced goalkeeper, but he's well worth it against a Dynamo side that's scored just once in their last three road games.

Matt Lampson, CHI at VAN ($3,200): The Whitecaps are playing their second game in four days and fourth in the last three weeks, with their next match coming this Saturday at Toronto. Needless to say, there should be some squad rotation, which is the opposite of what we'll see from the Fire, who haven't played since their 1-1 draw with D.C. United on April 30. Also of note: Chicago has allowed multiple goals just twice this season, one of which was the season-opener.

DEFENDER

Michael Harrington, CHI at VAN ($3,200): Teammate Rodrigo Ramos has a slightly higher ceiling, but not enough to justify the extra $600 to grab him ahead of Harrington, who had seven crosses, 10 fouls drawn, 15 tackles won and 10 interceptions in his last four games.

Mekeil Williams, COL v. SKC ($4,000): Williams' price continues to rise, and while he was unable to grab an assist in his fourth consecutive game last weekend against RSL, he

Mekeil Williams, COL v. SKC ($4,000): Williams' price continues to rise, and while he was unable to grab an assist in his fourth consecutive game last weekend against RSL, he still finished with multiple crosses, tackles won and interceptions (a yellow card hurt his final tally). SKC has shown this season that they favor squad rotation during their midweek matches, plus they haven't scored more than one goal in a match since April 9.

Fabinho, PHI v. LA ($4,200): While Fabinho's crossing numbers haven't been extraordinary, he's still very involved in the attack and could take advantage of a Galaxy side that has a few players recently returning from injury and is making the cross-country trip after playing Saturday.

Ryan Hollingshead, DAL v. POR ($3,700): Always known as a player who could slot into almost any position, Hollingshead showed his true versatility last weekend against Toronto when he took over in goal for the injured Jesse Gonzalez (Dallas had already used all their subs). While fantasy players didn't get any save points, Hollingshead still put up nine points thanks to three crosses, two fouls drawn, three tackles won and three interceptions.

MIDFIELDER

Shkelzen Gashi, COL v. KC ($5,800): Gashi has been excellent of late, with a goal and two assists in his last three, scoring 13, 24 and 21 fantasy points, respectively. Additionally, he's scored at least 12 points in five of his last six, as the Rapids look unstoppable and host a likely-rotated SKC side.

Jermaine Jones, COL v. KC ($4,400): Speaking on unstoppable, Jones has a goal or an assist in his four games with the Rapids, and he's playing like a player who should be priced in the $6,000-range. At under $4,500, he's going to be heavily owned, but fantasy owners may miss out on too many fantasy points to fade him.

Mauro Diaz, DAL v. POR ($7,400): The hope is that those who focus on game logs will ignore Diaz given his, and FC Dallas', struggles of late, but he's got tremendous upside and is facing a Portland side that had a tough match at Vancouver this past weekend. If Dallas gets back on track, it'll be because of Diaz, whose price looks very attractive when considering you have to pay $1,100 more for Diego Valeri.

Tranquillo Barnetta, PHI v. LA ($5,300): Barnetta is on all set pieces for Philly and has scored at least 17 fantasy points in three of his last four despite playing more than 65 minutes just once. With the Galaxy bringing tired legs to Philly, Barnetta could have a field day.

Cristian Techera, VAN v. CHI ($6,000): As long as he's on the field, Techera is a viable fantasy option, and he showed that last weekend against Portland by scoring 17 fantasy points thanks to 12 crosses. He's scored at least 12 points in five of his last seven, including at least 13 in four of his last five.

Christian Bolanos, VAN v. CHI ($5,300): Not to be outdone by Techera, Bolanos has a goal in three consecutive games, scoring 15, 21 and 27 fantasy points, respectively. He's been too good to bench and has shown a decent floor even if he doesn't score. That being said, Techera is safer.

Shea Salinas, SJ v. HOU ($4,800): Salinas finally got a start last weekend at Seattle and finished with nine crosses in 90 minutes. It was the most crosses he had in a game since he sent in six against Portland on April 16 in only 19 minutes. Salinas' spot in the starting lineup is far from guaranteed, but if he's on the field, he'll be sending in crosses.

FORWARD

Chris Wondolowski, SJ v. HOU ($6,800): While he hasn't scored in the last two matches, Wondolowski still co-leads MLS with seven goals this season. He takes multiple shots per game and leads the line for the team with the second-highest win odds.

C.J. Sapong, PHI v. LA ($6,200): You could pay up for Robbie Keane ($8,100), who just returned from injury and played three days ago, or take the significant savings to grab Sapong, who is averaging 15.5 fantasy points per game over his last six. The Galaxy have been playing very well of late, but the cross-country trip after a weekend match is tough and they've given up six goals in their last four games.

Luis Solignac, COL v. KC ($4,700): Many Rapids continue to be very underpriced, and while SKC look good on paper, they haven't posted a clean sheet since April 9 and just gave up two goals to the Dynamo last weekend.
