PITCHER
Zack Greinke, ARI vs. ATL ($9,600): As a right-handed pitcher with a ground ball/slider combination, Greinke appears to have all the tools to give Atlanta fits in this matchup. We would prefer the game take place away from the hitter-friendly environment of Chase Field, but the Braves remain a bottom-3 team against righties according to wOBA, and hit the third-fewest fly balls by percentage. They also have the second lowest runs above average score against the slider, which Greinke throws 22 percent of the time.
Jacob deGrom, NYM at STL ($9,100): The matchup here isn't ideal, but I can't pass on this much upside for the price. deGrom was roughed up by the Giants in his last start, but has been one of the better pitchers in the league this season, tallying a 24 percent strikeout rate and 2.73 ERA over his 138.1 innings. The 28-year-old has allowed just 12 home runs over that span, making it easier to trust him against a potent offense like the Cardinals.
CATCHER
Wilson Ramos, WAS vs. BAL ($4,000): Getting Ramos at this price when he is facing a lefty feels like a gift, as he has a .329 ISO and .415 wOBA against his opposite hand. The pot is further sweetened by the presence of Wade Miley, who has a 1.6 HR/9 mark against righties.
FIRST BASE
Chris Davis, BAL at WAS ($4,000): This pick is all about batted ball data. Davis hits the ball in the air 45 percent of the time, while Tanner Roark keeps the ball on the ground at a 50 percent rate. Davis' power appears to be returning after a bit of a slide, as he has homered six times over the last seven games.
SECOND BASE
Devon Travis, TOR vs. LAA ($3,500): Travis has played well against righties all season, resulting in a .373 wOBA and a .210 ISO. He also carries the fifth-highest runs above average score against the splitter, a pitch Matt Shoemaker throws a whopping 36 percent of the time. It is worth noting that Travis sat out Tuesday with an injured knuckle, but the team expects that he will be able to play after a day off.
THIRD BASE
Jake Lamb, ARI vs. ATL ($3,900): Lamb has been mired in a slump of late, but his power has remained consistent, and his ISO against righties is still hovering around the .300 mark. Julio Teheran's drastic splits will make him a target each time he takes the hill, as he has a 5.58 xFIP against lefties over 64.1 innings.
SHORTSTOP
Danny Espinosa, WAS vs. BAL ($3,800): Espinosa's ISO is nearly 100 points higher against lefties, making him a cheap power source for the matchup against Miley. The 29-year-old also has a platoon advantage, as he will bring his 42 percent fly ball rate against Miley's heavy ground ball profile.
OUTFIELD
Carlos Beltran, TEX at CIN ($3,500): Beltran has slugged just .409 in his last 66 at-bats, but I will happily grab him at this price against Tim Adleman, who has allowed a .543 slugging percentage and carries a 6.20 xFIP against lefties over 11 innings. Despite the recent struggles, Beltran has a .215 ISO against righties overall this year.
Robbie Grossman, MIN vs. DET ($3,700): Grossman has almost completely faded against right-handed pitching, but he remains a force against lefties, as evidenced by his .341/.420/.534 batting line over 42 games. While he has thrown the ball well overall, Matt Boyd has had trouble keeping right-handed hitters in the ballpark, registering a 1.5 HR/9 rate.
Odubel Herrera, PHI at CWS ($4,900): It would seem wrong if we didn't have at least one bat against James Shields, who has now allowed at least six earned runs in four consecutive starts. Herrera is the call, as he has a .166 ISO with a .361 wOBA against righties over 337 at-bats.
