FantasyAces MLB: Friday Picks

This article is part of our FantasyAces MLB series.

Fantasy Aces has a great baseball product that offers games at every level and in a variety of formats. Whether you play Traditional or Salary Pro, this article will help you find the optimal plays and build a lineup that'll help build your bankroll.

Pitcher:

Drew Smyly ($6,250): Smyly has hit double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts, one of which was a scoreless outing against the very same Orioles squad he'll get Friday night. A fantastic price for the upside he provides.

Other top tier pitcher in order of preference: Zach Greinke ($8,500), Chris Sale ($8,250), Madison Bumgarner ($8,400)

Catcher:

Austin Hedges ($3,500): In hopes of saving money at catcher, at least you get Hedges at Coors Field. You could do a lot worse for a lot more.

1B/3B:

Adonis Garcia ($4,650): Admittedly a small sample size, but a 1.100 OPS against lefties this season shouldn't be overlooked with the mediocre Adam Morgan opposing on the mound.

Edwin Encarnacion ($5,900): This Blue Jay lineup is something special, especially the power three of Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista and Encarnacion, who has been the best lately with a 1.489 OPS over the last seven days and 1.267 over the last month.

2B/SS:

Daniel Castro ($3,000): If Castro is second in the Braves' lineup, he's an automatic use in your lineup. The price is simply too good to pass up.

Dustin Pedroia ($4,750): It hasn't been an ideal season for the former Rookie of the Year and AL MVP, but since returning from injury he's got a 1.212 OPS and has three home runs in his last four games.

Corey Seager ($4,250): The long awaited arrival of Seager was well worth it. He's slashing .426/.526/.617 since his arrival in the big leagues.

Outfield:

Khris Davis ($4,750): Davis is the off brand Ryan Braun with three home runs just this week.

Justin Ruggiano ($3,500): Ruggiano is hitting 1.012 against righties this season and has looked very good in his new home in Los Angeles. His OPS over the past two weeks is a sparkling 1.340.

Mike Trout ($6,000): Trout, when fully Trout, is hard to pass up. Two home runs and reaching base three other times Thursday leaves an appetizing taste. Mike Pelfrey, the opposing pitcher Friday, isn't very good.
