Our Saturday night DFS slates for DraftKings and FanDuel are slightly different, with a one-game variation between the two sites. We'll address those games at the end of the article, and begin with my preferred selections among the shared set of games.

Quarterback
There's a lot to ponder as we swing through the offensive positions, and one question persists as I comb through the options. Just how good is Michigan's defense? Have they played quality opponents that can justify the elite rating? I think the run defense has proven itself aptly, and the passing defense, less so. For anyone who plays the Trojans, it will likely be the most potent offense they've faced, and that's where I'll begin my search for a quarterback.
Jayden Maiava, USC (DK $8,400, FD $11,000) vs. Michigan
Say what you will about the failings of USC's defense, especially late in games. To the Trojans' defense, sitting through a three-hour rain delay in Champaign without a suitable place to stay warm while the Illini were using their indoor facility was a wrinkle of that contest that most people aren't talking about. Maiaiva was dialed in before that delay, and I think the stall hurt the offense as a whole. I think putting too much stock in the loss to Illinois is a

I think putting too much stock in the loss to Illinois is a mistake. We saw how Michigan fared against John Mateer. Granted, Mateer's numbers weren't elite, but they won by 11 points. Let's keep the defenses out of the equation for the moment. I think we can safely argue that Maiaiva and his group or receivers rank higher than Oklahoma's, and probably better than every other team in the country, save perhaps Ohio State. If USC's defense can force some three-and-outs and a turnover or two, the Trojans will have enough possessions to outscore Michigan, and Maiava will certainly benefit.
Behren Morton, Texas Tech (DK $9,100, FD $8,800) vs. Kansas
I'm recommending Morton for the FanDuel players out there, but I think the DraftKings number might be a little high. I'll give you a better DraftKings option in a moment, but let's focus on Morton first. The Red Raiders faced a tough Houston defense, and things didn't start well in the red zone for Morton. He had to settle for three field goals in three red zone attempts, which was uncharacteristic for that offense. If they had found the end zone in at least one of these drives, the resulting momentum would have carried them to a higher win margin. Kansas' offense is high-powered, but the defense has some holes that can be exploited. In the same position against the Jayhawks, Morton would have been able to convert those red zone attempts with a higher frequency. This game will go back and forth quite a bit, and I believe it will greatly benefit Morton's bottom line.
Marcel Reed, Texas A&M (DK $8,200, FD $11,600) vs. Florida
I like Reed's DraftKings salary, but FanDuel's number is a little high. The Gators must be feeling it after the surprise win over Texas in the swamp, but they faced an offense that still hasn't found its identity. Not so with the Aggies. While Auburn was able to contain them, the offense has been stellar otherwise, and it'll be much harder for Florida to rein in this offense. To make matters worse, they're playing in College Station and won't have the home crowd to spur them on.
Running Back
Cameron Dickey, Texas Tech (DK$7,000, FD $8,700) vs. Kansas
I like our discount for Dickey despite his time share with J'Koby Williams (DK $6,800, FD $9,600). As you can see, Williams is a bit cheaper than Dickey on DraftKings, so I think it's perfectly reasonable to take him instead. Kansas's run defense is in the bottom third in the country, and I think carrying the rock will be key to the win. I'm fine with either back, although you'll be paying a premium if you go with Williams on FanDuel.
Adam Randall, Clemson (DK $7,600, FD $9,900) @ Boston College
I did not mean to fade Cade Klubnik against a weak opponent - I just think Randall is a better choice for the price. Boston College has been downright terrible this season, and teams have run all over them. While the Tigers have several backs waiting in the wings if this game gets out of hand, we can get enough out of Randall based on his numbers against North Carolina. Clemson had their first opportunity to empty the bench against the Tarheels, but the result wasn't very successful, as offensive scoring slowed to a standstill. I think Dabo Swinney will give his first string more reps, as they certainly have some kinks to work out against tougher opponents.
Caden Durham, LSU (DK $6,600, FD $7,500) vs. South Carolina
Opposing offenses have gashed the Gamecocks on the ground this season, and it looks like Durham will return this weekend after sustaining an ankle injury a couple of weeks ago. Of course, it makes sense to double-check his status for this game, but I'm a fan of the discount we get for him after the salary dip stuck to the injury. Durham is a great way to get salary relief at this position if you need it.
Wide Receiver
Ja'Kobi Lane, USC (DK $3,700, FD $7,200) v. Michigan
Don't get me wrong - I love Makai Lemon and I do not doubt that he'll get behind Michigan's secondary. Lane's salary is way too good to pass up, however. For starters, Lane will have a speed and size advantage against Michigan's secondary. He doesn't have the same shifty ability that Lemon has, but he'll win almost every 50/50 ball he gets, and Maiava will be able to find him plenty of times. I'll probably go ahead and spend on Lemon if I am able, but Lane will give us the salary cap relief we need, especially on DraftKings.
Mario Craver, Texas A&M (DK $6,300, FD $10,000) vs. Florida
It's a tough call between Craver and KC Concepcion, but I think the pricing on both sites provides us with the correct avenue to take. Craver's pricing on DraftKings is right where it needs to be, but I think he's overpriced on FanDuel. Concepcion is $800 cheaper over there, so I'm more likely to shift over to Concepcion if I'm building for that site. It's ultimately a coin flip between the two, but I'm leaning toward Craver as the more consistent option. I wouldn't rule out stacking them, especially if you're going with Reed.
Emmanuel Henderson, Kansas (DK $6,400, FD $7,500) @ Texas Tech
Kansas will need a huge day from Jalon Daniels to win the day, and Henderson will get the bulk of the targets if that happens. I won't hesitate to use him on both sites, as he's favorably priced on both sites.
Iowa vs Wisconsin (DraftKings)
There's not a lot I'm excited about here, but I think Kamari Moulton ($6,000) is a decent running back option against a questionable Wisconsin defense. We can't really depend on either quarterback, as injury situations leave both options up in the air.
Purdue vs Minnesota (FanDuel)
I don't mind either quarterback as both Ryan Browne ($9,600) and Drake Lindsey ($8,100) have reasonable floors and are appropriately priced. The running back rooms aren't bad either. Darius Taylor ($6,800) has evened out a bit after a slow start, but he could be a sleeper at this salary point. Purdue's Devin Mockobee ($7,800) is also priced well, and he'll give you a little extra as an apt pass-catcher. Between the two teams, Purdue's Michael Jackson ($7,400) is my favorite wide receiver play.
