DraftKings League of Legends: Thursday Cheat Sheet

By far the best matchup of the day for daily fantasy players, RotoWire's Ethan Sexton thinks H2K vs. Origen should present some terrific value in DFS, particularly in the top and middle lane.

DraftKings LoL: Thursday Cheat Sheet

Just a quick note, the ROCCAT/GIANTS series is listed on DraftKings as a best-of-three, however it is a mistake as the match will be played in a a best-of-two as usual. Do not be fooled by the misplaced label. With that said let's get into things for Thursday. On paper, every series looks like it's destined for a tie, expect H2K sweeping aside Origen. But as we all know, just because something looks likely to happen, doesn't mean it will.

Top Lane: Odoamne (H2K vs. OG, $6,700)

This seems like the most straightforward matchup of the day. Odoamne is in position to get to that 10+ assist bonus threshold in both games against a struggling Origen. Throw in his cheap price and he's my must play in the top lane today.

Jungle: Trick (G2 vs. FNC , $5,700)

If you've been reading this column for awhile, you know I love using Trick when he's cheap. Under $6,000 is way too cheap and while I get that Fnatic present a tough matchup, I'm not sure why G2 are so cheap today. Trick has the upside to far outproduce this low salary point. I also like Jankos, Spirit, and Trashy on today's slate.

Middle Lane: Ryu (H2K vs. OG, $7,600)

Today is a good day for value and it allows you to pay up for Ryu in an excellent situation. Ryu has picked up his play for H2K this split and I'd expect that to continue against PowerOfEvil and Origen. I also like Night, Perkz, Febiven, Fox and Sencux. Today is a good day for mid laners.

ADC: SONSTAR (GIA vs. ROC, $7,000)

You might think this pick is crazy, and to be honest, even I'm a little skeptical. I really think this series could be sloppy and in tow, bloody. Therefore I think using an AD Carry that is only $7,000 could present some good upside. I'm not opposed to the game stack in this series as it could produce the most fantasy friendly numbers on the day.

Support: Hustlin (GIA vs. ROC, $5,000)

Cheap supports are my mantra every week. Like I said above, this series could lead to the most fantasy friendly numbers on the day so using a cheap support with definite 10+ assist upside is the way I'll be going. The savings allow you to fit some more expensive players into your lineup.

Team: G2 vs. FNC ($4,300)

H2K are my only real chalk play on the day, so why not use a proven team at an extremely cheap price? I know the matchup is tough, but even if they split, G2 should get their fair share of objectives. While I'm not in love with using a lot of their players today, I think using G2 as your team gives you a high upside squad at a fraction of their usual price.
