AlphaDraft LoL: Thursday Cheat Sheet

The World Championships are finally here. I know I'm pumped up for the group stages to get underway and can't wait to play some Daily Fantasy to go along with the tournament. ROX Tigers and Edward Gaming are the overwhelming favorites on the day, but are expensive and a stack is somewhat hard to pull off. In the closer matches, I am leaning toward Team SoloMid, G2 eSports, and AHQ eSports defeating their counterparts Royal Never Give Up, Counter Logic Gaming and H2K Gaming. While these matchups won't be straightforward, I am confident that these teams will be able to pick up victories on Day One.

Top Lane: Ziv (AHQ vs. H2K, $7,200)

You may never have heard of Ziv if you only watch Western League of Legends, but trust me when I say he's one of the best top laners in the world. He provides a reliability and is a key member to AHQ. He's cheap, but certainly has solid upside in a matchup AHQ should be able to win.

Jungle: Clearlove (EDG vs. INTZ, $7,900)

EDG are massive favorites and although I have $100 left over and I think paying up for Peanut is fine, Clearlove is the best jungler in the world. Not much else needs to be said.

Middle Lane: Bjergsen (TSM vs. RNG, $7,800)

TSM face a test in their first matchup at Worlds. RNG are a team full of talent, but have struggled to be a cohesive unit this year in the Chinese LPL. Bjergsen is one of the best mid laners in the World and can hold his own against anyone. He'll be a big reason why TSM win on Thursday.

ADC: Deft (EDG vs. INTZ, $8,200) and PraY (ROX vs. ANX, $8,300)

I'm using both star ADC's in great matchups on Thursday. They are true carries, and many have them listed as the number one and two AD Carries in the World, respectively, coming into the tournament. Throw in that they play for tournament favorites against Wildcard teams and you have all the ingredients for a huge matchup.

Support: Mithy (G2 vs. CLG, $7,500)

G2 have a point to prove at World's after a terrible display during their last international tournament. Mithy is the general for G2 and is one of the best Support's in the tournament. I'd expect him to have double digit assists in a game G2 need to win to get off to a good start.

Team: AHQ vs. H2K ($3,000)

Paying down in the team role is something I often do, but I do think AHQ will win against H2K. It'll be a close matchup, but at $3,000 AHQ are worth the gamble at a miniscule salary.
