QUARTERBACK
If you're willing to pay at the position then Kyler Murray ($8,700) is where I would start. He's at home, is a 17-point favorite against the Texans and has a solid floor with all of those factors working for him. J.J. Watt is no longer on Houston's roster, and Arizona is a strong candidate to score the most points of any team Sunday. Count on Murray to be part of that big fantasy day.
Tua Tagovailoa ($7,100) returned in grand fashion last week throwing for more than 300 yards and two touchdowns in England. He has a great matchup this week at home against the Falcons, who rank 20th against opposing quarterbacks. Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki have proven to be a competent duo of wide receivers, and Tua has the mobility to get extra fantasy points with his legs.
RUNNING BACK
One of the few bright spots for the Atlanta Falcons this season has been running back Cordarrelle Patterson ($8,000). He's averaging just under 18 fantasy points per game this season and has a nice matchup against the Dolphins coming off a bye week. Miami ranks 30th against opposing running backs, and in FanDuel's .5 PPR format Patterson gets a small boost.
The Raiders' Josh Jacobs ($6,900) is a nice economical pick this week given both his salary cap hit and the fact that he has at least 17 touches over his last three games. The Eagles have not been good defending opposing running backs (29th in the league), and on paper this is the best matchup Jacobs has had this season.
WIDE RECEIVER
The Bengals rank dead last in the league against wide receivers so it would make sense to fire up Marquise Brown ($7,300) this week. This is a great spot for Brown to bounce back from a 5.5 fantasy point day last Sunday, and he has at least five targets in every game this season. In GPPs it makes sense to use him, Lamar Jackson and either Mark Andrews ($7,500) or Rashod Bateman ($5,300).
If you're looking to spend down a little at the position, consider the Giants' Sterling Shepard ($6,500). Kadarius Toney is considered doubtful, and that easily elevates Shepard to being the top receiving option for New York. Shepard is averaging just under 75 receiving yards per game including a contest he left early with an injury and has averaged nine targets per game. Carolina's defense has been outstanding against the run but a little worse against the pass, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Daniel Jones air it out Sunday.
TIGHT END
Darren Waller ($6,800) is the player I'd target if your salary cap allows it given he's got a great home matchup against the Eagles. Philadelphia ranks 25th against the position, and the floor looks solid if you use Waller and Jacobs together. If you're looking to spend down a little at the position, think about using Zach Ertz ($5,300). He's acclimated well to his new team (10.3 fantasy points last week), and the Texans are 31st against the position. Arizona is the biggest favorite for the week (17-point favorites), so it would be surprising if they don't put up a bunch of points in this home matchup.
DEFENSE
Usually I think this is a good spot to save some salary cap room, but this week is an exception. Davis Mills has had only one good game and has to go on the road as a huge underdog to the Cardinals, who are averaging the most fantasy points per game (10.5) using the FanDuel format. Don't be surprised if J.J. Watt has a big day in what'll be a "revenge" game for him.
