DraftKings Euro Tour: Maybank Championship

This article is part of our DraftKings Euro Tour series.

Many of the world's best golfers will be teeing it up at the Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, for this week's Maybank Championship. It is the first time back to Saujana for the Maybank since 2009 when Anthony Kang won. For this reason there is not much course history, but tournament history. Recent form will drive choices. Golfers will play the Palm Course nicknamed, "The Cobra," built on a former palm oil plantation. It is known for its difficult, fast-sloping greens and tight fairways lined with palms. The golf course has recently been lengthened and improved, which should make a difficult course even tougher.

Here are our DraftKings picks for the week.

Bernd Wiesberger - $12,000

Coming off a 32nd-place finish at Dubai and 37th at the Qatar Masters, Bernd is playing well. He also finished fourth at Abu Dhabi in mid-January. He's twice been runner-up at the Maybank, though both came at the Kuala Lumpur Golf Course and Country Club, in 2015 and 2014.

Rafael Cabrera-Bello - $11,800

Rafael plays well in Malaysia, finishing 36th last year and 37th in 2009 at "The Cobra." After an 11th at Dubai, a sixth at the Qatar Masters and 19th at Abu Dhabi it is hard to deny his great form.

Charl Schwartzel - $11,200

Charl is ranked 26 in the OWGR and hasn't missed a cut since last April. He's almost always a safe play. He recently had time off, but placed third at the DP

Charl Schwartzel - $11,200

Charl is ranked 26 in the OWGR and hasn't missed a cut since last April. He's almost always a safe play. He recently had time off, but placed third at the DP World Tour Championship in November. There is no reason to think anything has changed with his game.

Thongchai Jaidee - $8,900

Jaidee has long been a solid player. He has good tournament history at the Maybank, finishing 20th in 2015 and 24th in 2014. Thongchai was 30th in 2009 when the tournament was played at Saujana. He placed 15th last week in Dubai and seems to be picking up steam.

Peter Uihlein - $8,200

Uihlein has had a good month with a 5th-place finish at Dubai, a 49th at Abu Dhabi and a seventh place at the BMW SA Open. He placed 16th at the Maybank in 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf Course and Country Club.

Jorge Campillo - 8,000

Campillo has been steady since the end of last year. Jorge came in 23rd last week in Dubai, 13th at the Qatar Masters and 39th at Abu Dhabi. Ranked 150 in OWGR, Jorge may be flying under the radar. He placed fourth last year at the Maybank.

Nacho Elvira - $7,500

Nacho has played well to start the year. He had an 11th at Dubai last week, 6th at the Qatar Masters and a 36th place at Abu Dhabi. He does not have course history, but is on a hot streak and hasn't missed a cut in his last eight starts.

Prom Meesawat - $6,700

Meesawat has great tournament history with a 15th, 25th and 24th the last three years. Prom placed 40th at Saujana in 2009 when the Maybank was played there. He has been heating up recently with a 15th at Dubai and a 29th at the UBS Hong Kong Open to end 2016.

Jbe Kruger - $6,600

Kruger has played well recently, with a 21st-place finish at the BMW SA Open and a 10th place in December at the UBS Hong Kong Open. He came in 36th last year at the Maybank. He has good tournament history beyond that with a 13th in 2014, a 28th in 2013 and coming in 11th place back in 2012. At this price he is hard to pass up.
