DraftKings NHL: Sunday Playoff Picks

Sunday's NHL slate begins at 3:00 PM Eastern time and features a pair of Game 6s. Read on to see which players stand out as options to target when the Maple Leafs and Golden Knights try to close out the Bruins and Sharks, respectively.

GOALIE

Frederik Andersen, TOR vs. BOS ($7,900): The Bruins averaged 3.41 goals per game on home ice, but dropped to 2.85 on the road during the regular season. One more poor road effort would end Boston's season, and Andersen's looking to ensure that happens. He's been superb in Toronto's three prior victories, allowing a total of four goals on 103 shots.

CENTER

Auston Matthews, TOR vs. BOS ($6,600): Matthews was quiet in this series' first two games, but has come alive with a three-game goal streak since. In these past three games, he's totaled four goals and an assist on 16 shots - making for a strong choice as a lineup centerpiece.

Charlie Coyle, BOS at TOR ($3,900): Coyle's a nice low-cost option down the middle, as he's been an important source of secondary scoring with two goals and an assist in this series. His strong play hasn't gone unnoticed by coach Bruce Cassidy, who has entrusted Coyle with 17:41 of ice time per game over the last three after Coyle averaged 15:23 in the first two.

WINGS

Jonathan Marchessault, VGK vs. SJ ($5,700): Marchessault brings a three-game point streak into this one, with 11 shots during that stretch and power-play goals in each of the last two games. Given Martin Jones' struggles in net for San Jose, the diminutive forward should continue to find success by frequently throwing rubber on net.

Joe Pavelski, SJ at VGK ($5,600): If the Sharks are going to extend their season, Pavelski is likely to play a major role. San Jose's captain led the team with 38 goals in the regular season, and he's added two goals and two assists so far in this series. He recorded a goal and an assist in Game 5 with the team's back against the wall, and Pavelski should deliver another inspired effort in this one.

Alex Tuch, VGK vs. SJ ($4,600): This could be a nice buy-low opportunity on Tuch, who has produced only two points in what has been the first round's highest-scoring series. He posted 20 goals and 52 points in the regular season, and Tuch's skating north of 16 minutes per game in the past three after averaging only 13:20 in this series' first two.

DEFENSEMEN

Torey Krug, BOS at TOR ($5,600): Krug has been limited to three helpers in this series, but he remains by far Boston's best offensive blueliner after a 53-point regular season. He's also chipped in defensively with eight blocks in the last two games. You're better off paying $5,600 for Krug than settling for Charlie McAvoy at $5,100.

Shea Theodore, VGK vs. SJ ($4,900): Theodore led the Vegas blue line with 37 points in the regular season, and he's showcased his offensive skills with six points in this series. The talented blueliner possesses a tremendous ceiling relative to his valuation considering the Golden Knights outscored the Sharks 11-3 in the two games in Vegas.
