SLATE PREVIEW
Columbus is playing in the second half of a back-to-back set and will be playing for the third time in four days, so the Blue Jackets might be battling through fatigue. Anaheim is arguably the hottest team set to play tonight after winning its last seven games to improve to 11-3-1. At the other end of the spectrum, St. Louis is 2-6-3 dating back to Oct. 21, which drops the Blues to 5-8-3 overall.
GOALIES
Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at VAN ($8,000): Hellebuyck is the only goaltender who recorded a save percentage of at least .920 while playing in a minimum of 25 games in each regular season from 2022-23 through 2024-25. He's likely to do that yet again this year. The Jets goaltender has a 6-5-0 record, 2.30 GAA and .922 save percentage through 11 appearances. Winnipeg does need to give him more offensive support, but Vancouver ranks 26th in goals allowed per game with 3.41, so there's a good chance of that happening tonight.
Sam Montembeault, MON vs. LAK ($7,500): Montembeault doesn't look appealing with his 3.46 GAA and .864 save percentage in eight appearances this year, but those numbers are due to a rough stretch he had from Oct. 14-Nov. 4 when he posted a 4.10 GAA and an .841 save percentage across five outings. He seemed to right the ship by stopping 25 shots en route to a 6-2 win over Utah on Saturday, and he'll look to continue that against the Kings, who are in a three-way tie for 23rd in goals per game with 2.75.
Philipp Grubauer, SEA vs. CLM ($6,900): If you're looking for a really cheap option, you could take a chance on Grubauer. He's barely played this season, posting a record of 1-0-1 with a 2.48 GAA and an .875 save percentage across three appearances. Still, with Joey Daccord (upper body) on injured reserve, there's a good chance Grubauer starts tonight. As noted above, Columbus has played a lot recently, so the Blue Jackets might not be at their best, which might translate into a win for Grubauer and Seattle.
VALUE PLAYS
Mats Zuccarello, MIN vs. SJS ($4,800): Zuccarello didn't make his season debut until Friday due to a lower-body injury. He's 38 years old, so his age is a concern, but as long as he's a member of Minnesota's top line and first power-play unit, he should provide solid value at his current price point.
Nicholas Robertson, TOR at BOS ($4,600): Robertson has suddenly caught fire, providing four goals and eight points over his past eight games. For years, Robertson seemed to be in the awkward position of being too good for the AHL but not a good enough fit for Toronto to feature in the lineup consistently. At the age of 24, perhaps Robertson has grown enough to become a mainstay in Toronto's top six.
Viktor Arvidsson, BOS vs. TOR ($4,500): Arvidsson has shaken off a slow start to the campaign by recording five goals and seven points over his past 10 appearances. He left plenty to be desired during his 27-point regular season with Edmonton last year, but the 32-year-old has also finished three regular seasons in the range of 59-61 points, so he's certainly capable of more than what he showed in 2024-25.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Ducks at Avalanche
Leo Carlsson (C - $7,900), Chris Kreider (W - $6,900), Troy Terry (W - $6,800)
Anaheim has been so good this season that I nearly listed Lukas Dostal at $7,800 among my recommended goaltenders. I ultimately resisted out of respect for Colorado's offense, but I'll happily highlight the Ducks' top line.
This trio is a big part of the reason Anaheim is 11-3-1. Carlsson has 15 goals and 25 points in 15 appearances this year, and he's on a 10-game point streak in which he's accumulated eight goals and 19 points. Meanwhile, Terry is on a four-game streak (six assists), which brings him up to five goals and 19 points in 15 outings this year. Kreider rounds out this line with nine goals and 12 points through 11 appearances, including five goals and seven points in his past six outings.
Sharks at Wild
Macklin Celebrini (C - $7,800), Will Smith (W - $6,000), Tyler Toffoli (W - $5,200)
The age of Celebrini is upon us. The 19-year-old has already collected 10 goals and 24 points through 16 appearances this year, and he's going into today's action amid a three-game goal-scoring streak. The 20-year-old Smith doesn't collect as many headlines, but he's shaping up to be a great linemate for Celebrini. Smith has recorded two goals and six points across his past four appearances to give him six goals and 16 points in 16 outings this year. Meanwhile, the veteran Toffoli has been a touch behind his young linemates, but with five goals and 10 points through 16 games, the 33-year-old is certainly helping too.
DEFENSEMEN
Josh Morrissey, WPG at VAN ($6,400): Morrissey's slow start to the season is well behind him now. He has two goals and 11 points over his past eight appearances to push him up to 13 points in 15 outings this year. Given that he finished each of the last three regular seasons with over 60 points, his recent hot streak is likely just the start of what should be a great campaign.
Miro Heiskanen, DAL at OTT ($6,300): Heiskanen has been incredible over his past three games, collecting eight assists, including four with the man advantage, over that stretch. He's up to three goals and 14 points in 16 outings this year. Heiskanen is coming off a disappointing 2024-25 regular season in which he had 25 points in 50 appearances, but if he stays healthy, he has a good chance at rebounding by surpassing the 50-point mark for the third time in four years.
Noah Dobson, MON vs. LAK ($6,000): Dobson is going into Tuesday's game on a three-game scoring streak in which he's collected four assists. That brings him up to a goal and 11 points through 15 appearances with Montreal this season. He hasn't had much of a power-play role with the Canadiens -- he's averaging 1:21 with the man advantage -- but with the way he's been performing at even strength, he still seems poised to do far better than his 39-point finish in 2024-25.
Charlie McAvoy, BOS vs. TOR ($5,400): McAvoy has been a steady contributor for Boston this year, recording 12 assists, including four with the man advantage, in 16 games. He did miss Saturday's 5-3 win over Toronto for personal reasons, but he's expected to return tonight and serve on the first pairing.
