PITCHER
Gio Gonzalez, WAS vs. PHI ($9,300): Gonzalez is off to a superb start to his 2017 campaign, allowing just one run (on a solo homer) while striking out 13 in 13.0 innings. Over the last three seasons, he's 4-0 in 12 starts against the Phillies, allowing 22 runs over 74.0 frames (2.68 ERA) while striking out 64 with a .229 BAA. The Phillies don't light up lefties either, posting a collective .292 wOBA and .122 ISO against southpaws since the start of last year.
CATCHER
Tyler Flowers, ATL vs. SDP ($2,300): Fowlers has three multi-hit games in his last four starts, and sat out Saturday's game, seemingly making him a safe bet to start Sunday afternoon. His 28.2 percent strikeout rage since 2016 and his place at the bottom of the Braves' order gives him limited upside, but his recent form paired with a .344 wOBA against righties since 2016 gives him some appeal at a bottom tier price.
FIRST BASE
Freddie Freeman, ATL vs. SDP ($3,800): Freeman comes into Sunday riding a seven-game hitting streak, and he has been a dominant hitter against right handers, as he owns a .414 wOBA and .295 ISO against them since the start of last year. There's no suggestion to stack Braves' bats, but Freeman has an inviting matchup with Trevor Cahill, who made it only five innings in his first start of the year and has not been a semi-regular starter since 2014, when he allowed a .405 wOBA to lefties.
SECOND BASE
Jonathan Schoop, BAL at TOR ($2,600): Despite hitting in the bottom half of the order, Schoop has driven in a run in five straight games, reaching at least 9.5 fantasy points in four of those outings. Meanwhille, Jays' starter J.A. Happ has allowed seven runs in 11.2 innings through two starts, and he has given up a career .323 wOBA to righties.
THIRD BASE
Alex Bregman, HOU at OAK ($3,200): Bregman seems to be coming around after a slow start, posting five hits and three walks in his last four games. He hit righties better than lefties as a rookie, at a .344 wOBA clip against .314 versus southpaws, a number that rose to .381 on the road.
SHORTSTOP
Brandon Crawford, SFG vs. COL ($2,600): Crawford finds himself hitting in the cleanup spot with Buster Posey still sidelined, and that run-producing chance paired with his price makes him a nice bargain. That he managed a .334 wOBA against righties last season further aids his cause.
OUTFIELD
Yoenis Cespedes, NYM at MIA ($4,400): Cespedes' recent form has his price sky high, but Sunday's matchup with Dan Straily allows an opportunity for that form to continue while still offering a safe floor. Straily has allowed seven runs over 8.1 frames to open the season, and he was surprisingly more vulnerable a year ago against right handed bats, allowing a .322 wOBA and 21 long balls. Cespedes counters with a .353 wOBA and .251 ISO against righties over the last season plus, suggesting he'll be heavily involved in whatever the Mets put together offensively Sunday.
Lorenzo Cain, KAN vs. LAA ($3,800): This may be a steep price to pay for a player with limited power potential, but Angels' starter Tyler Skaggs has allowed 10 runs in 10.1 innings, and 33 in 47.2 frames dating back to the start of last August. Cain represents the safest bet among Royals bats, and though better against lefties, Cain has a career .317 wOBA against right handers.
Brett Gardner, NYY vs. STL ($2,900): Healthy and back hitting atop the order, Gardner has a .334 wOBA and 13.0 percent walk rate against righties since the start of 2016. He'll face a struggling Adam Wainwright, who has allowed seven runs in his first nine innings, and a .361 wOBA to lefties in 2016.
