College Football Picks: Florida vs Georgia Best Bets
The Georgia Bulldogs head to Jacksonville, Florida, to take on the Florida Gators in the latest edition of "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party". No matter the records, this game is always intense, and I expect nothing but the same on Saturday. Georgia enters at 6-1 overall (4-1 in conference) while Florida enters with a 3-4 record (2-2 in conference). Georgia seemingly has more to play for, but both teams desperately want to win this game, so motivation will not be a problem for either team.

Florida vs. Georgia Betting Odds for Week 10
Spread: Georgia -7 (Caesars Sportsbook); Florida +7.5 (BetMGM)
Total: Over 50.5 (DraftKings Sportsbook), Under 50.5 (FanDuel Sportsbook)
Money line: Georgia -270 (FanDuel Sportsbook), Florida +235 (Caesars Sportsbook)
This line hasn't seen much movement this week. It opened at Georgia -7.5 and had dropped in some spots to 7, but for the most part, it's held steady at -7.5. The total hasn't moved much at all either, currently holding steady at 50.5 in most spots. The lack of line movement likely has a lot to do with the questions about Florida, as the public has yet to figure out the Gators.

Florida vs Georgia Betting Picks for Week 10
As I just mentioned, the public, and honestly, almost everyone, has yet to figure out the Gators. They inexplicably lost to USF at home, which started a run of three consecutive losses, only to rebound by beating Texas at home. They've since lost at Texas A&M and narrowly defeated Mississippi State. Though the Gators have four losses, they still have just one bad loss; on the flip side, they have just one solid win.
The numbers tell a story of a team with a solid defense and a subpar offense. A common trait in all four Gator losses has been a lack of offense. In those four losses, the Gators have averaged under 14 points per game. They did, however, put up 29 points against a solid Texas defense. The Gators will need that version of the offense to show up this week if they have any hope of winning this game.
Georgia hasn't exactly been easy to read this season either. Though the Bulldogs have just one loss this season, they've come close to losing a couple more games. In those games, against Tennessee and Mississippi, the defense has fallen apart, surrendering a combined 76 points, but the offense bailed them out each time.
The problem on defense has been the inability to stop the pass. Tennessee and Ole Miss were able to take advantage of that, and that will be Florida's only path to success this week.
Outside of the pass defense, the Bulldogs have been pretty solid. QB Gunner Stockton has been efficient through the air and productive on the ground. The Bulldogs will likely need Stockton to be on as the Gator defense ranks 31st in the nation in yards allowed on the ground.
College football games rarely come down to just one player, but this week, this game is almost entirely on the shoulders of Florida QB DJ Lagway. When he plays well, the Gators resemble a top-20 team; when he plays poorly, they are a bottom-feeder. As mentioned earlier, the Georgia pass defense has been an issue this season, and I believe that Lagway can take advantage of that this week.
I've thrown a lot of numbers out, but this game will not be won on paper. This is a game of intangibles. The Gators came out on fire when their backs were against the wall against Texas a few weeks ago, and I'm expecting a similar effort this week. The Gators' season goals are out the window, so winning rivalry games is now the goal, and they'll be amped up for this one. Georgia will likely win the game, but like many others this season, it will be much too close for comfort.

Florida vs. Georgia Predictions for Week 10
As mentioned earlier, this game will be on the shoulders of DJ Lagway. If he can avoid the mistakes, the Gators have a chance to pull off the upset. The defense will need to show up as well, but I think that's a given considering the nature of this rivalry.
With that in mind, I'm expecting Florida is get the pass game going early and put up some early points. Georgia will be tough to stop, but Florida should have some success early. Eventually though, the balanced offense of the Bulldogs will be too much for the Florida defense and Georgia will again find a way to win, but this game will be close the entire way...if Lagway avoids the turnovers.
Georgia 27 - Florida 24
Florida vs Georgia Player Props for Saturday, November 1st
DJ Lagway Higher 240.5 Pass Yards (PrizePicks)
Lagway has surpassed this number in every conference game this season and with the Gators unlikely to have much success running the ball, Lagway will be forced to win this game through the air. The Bulldogs are 12th in yards allowed per game on the ground, but they can be had through the air as they rank 72nd in the nation in passing yards allowed per game.
Gunner Stockton Higher 221.5 Pass Yards (Underdog)
Both teams are strong against the run, which should force both QBs to get it done through the air. Georgia has better balance on offense, but until the Bulldogs get a lead, I think they'll rely on Stockton to move the ball through the air. Stockton has only topped this number in 2/5 conference games, but one of those games he was scripted out and another was just a weird game at Auburn.
