The Monkeys' time in second place didn't last long at all, as they shut out the Brothers in the opening game of this three-game series Friday to move back into the lead. They'll have to win again in this one if they're to remain top, though, as their lead sits at just half a game. A pair of American righties will take the mound Saturday in one of the most important games of the year thus far. The visiting Brothers will turn to Mitch Lively. He owns a mediocre 5.00 ERA on the season, a campaign in which his debut was delayed due to injury, but he's gotten better as the season has progressed, striking out seven and walking none while allowing just two earned runs in six innings his last time out against the Lions. The Monkeys will trot out Elih Villanueva, a former Brother who recorded a 2.92 ERA for the visitors last season but who has spent most of this season on the Monkeys' minor-league team, making just one rather unsuccessful start at the CPBL level.

Elih Villanueva, Monkeys: The pitcher decision in this one is difficult, as both starters were rather effective as teammates for the Brothers last season but neither has done much this year, thanks to an injury for Mitch Lively and a demotion for Villanueva. Villanueva is two credits cheaper and doesn't have to face the top-ranked Monkeys' lineup, so he'll get the edge here.
Chou Szu-Chi, Brothers: At just 6.5 credits, Chou provides a great way to get a Brother who hits near the top of the lineup into a Monkeys-based squad. He's worth consideration in his own right, however, as he'd recorded multi-hit games in six of his last seven contests before going hitless Friday.
Lin Li, Monkeys: Lin has a pretty clear claim as the best hitter in the league this season. He can do it all, hitting an incredible .413 with 10 homers and 10 steals. He's nearly always the top captain choice in any game involving his team.
Chen Chen-Wei, Monkeys: Chen isn't the same all-around player that his teammate Lin is, but he's a strong player nonetheless. His 14 steals lead the league, and his presence at or near the top of the Monkeys' lineup has helped him score 32 teams in 34 games this season.
