DraftKings NHL: Thursday Breakdown

DraftKings NHL: Thursday Breakdown

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

SLATE PREVIEW

The Canadiens have won two of the last three games in this series to take a 3-2 series lead, so they'll have a chance to move onto the Stanley Cup Finals with a win at home over Vegas on Thursday. The first two games played at the Bell Centre in this series have both gone to overtime, with the Habs and Golden Knights splitting those contests, so Thursday night's match promises to be a closely contested affair.

GOALIE

Carey Price ($7,900): Price has been fantastic in the last four games of this series, going 3-1-0 while posting a highly impressive 1.65 GAA and .944 save percentage. The Golden Knights are sure to play with a high level of desperation Thursday, but Montreal's suffocating defense has stifled Vegas' top six thus far this series, and I don't see that changing in Game 6. Price should have a fantastic opportunity to lead his team to the Stanley Cup Finals.

LINE STACK

Tyler Toffoli ($6,200) Nick Suzuki ($5,800) Cole Caufield ($5,000)

This line has been on fire during this series, combining for five goals and 13 points through five contests. If that wasn't enough to tip the scale, they also come at a highly reasonable price point, particularly the electric rookie Caufield at $5,000.

VALUE PLAYS

Alex Tuch ($4,9000): Tuch has picked up two helpers while racking up 11 shots on goal and five blocks through the first five games of this series. His contributions in periphery categories give him a solid floor, and his role skating on Vegas' third line and second power-play unit will give him plenty of upside at a reasonable price point.

Corey Perry ($3,300): Perry has been a consistent contributor through the first five games of the series, picking up three helpers and six shots over that span, solid production for someone who will cost you just $3,300 to roster. He doesn't get a ton of ice time at five on five, but he'll see plenty of action on the man advantage.

DEFENSEMEN

Shea Theodore ($5,400): Theodore has been relatively quiet through the first five games of the series, notching one goal, two helpers and 15 shots, but the 25-year-old blueliner could break out offensively in a big way at any point. That's a risk worth taking at his price point.

Alex Pietrangelo ($7,300): Pietrangelo certainly won't want to see his Golden Knights exit the playoffs quietly Thursday, and he's already racked up three goals, 24 shots on net and 14 blocks through the first five games of the series, making him worth his hefty price tag.
