Yahoo DFS Soccer: Tuesday's UCL Picks

Yahoo DFS Soccer: Tuesday's UCL Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Soccer series.

MATCHES (EDT)

FORWARDS

Robert Lewandowski, FCB at LOKO (€30): Lewandowski was blanked in his group stage opener, but he bounced back with a hat trick over the weekend to serve up a quick reminder of the sky-high ceiling he possesses. Oddsmakers fancy him at an eye-popping -385 to score anytime, and given his ability to score in bulk, it would be a big risk to fade him in this matchup.

Roberto Firmino, LIV vs. FCMI (€23): Firmino is fresh off his first goal of the season over the weekend, and he'll look to carry that momentum over to Tuesday's home clash with FC Midtjylland. The entire Liverpool strike force is in play with the Reds the biggest favorite on the slate, but with the masses likely flocking to Mohamed Salah (€30) and Sadio Mane (€27), the window is open to snatch the less-popular Firmino while saving some salary at the same time.

Moussa Marega, POR vs. OLY (€10): Marega gives us as a minimum-priced forward on the fifth-biggest favorite on the slate. He managed just two shots in their group stage opening loss to Manchester City, but he should have more opportunities to produce in a better matchup at home against Olympiacos. With Porto looking to take advantage, there could be goals in the forecast for Marega on Tuesday.

MIDFIELDERS

Kevin De Bruyne, MCI at OLM (€29): De Bruyne should return to the starting lineup after missing two games with a leg injury. His ball distribution is silky smooth and coming off a record-breaking season that saw him equal the single-season Premier League assist record, so you better believe he'll be thirsty to make his mark on the score-sheet if he's back in the mix.

Corentin Tolisso, FCB at LOKO (€23): Tolisso got off to a hot start with a goal and 18 points in last week's UCL opener. He's suspended for two Bundesliga games, meaning he should be a lock to start this one, and he'll be fresh after serving the first game of his suspension over the weekend.

Diogo Jota, LIV vs. FCMI (€16): Jota bagged a goal over the weekend and if he keeps his starting spot he gives us cheap(ish) exposure to the Liverpool attack. James Milner would be a fine pivot at the same price point if he's in the lineup considering FC Midtjylland should be a saunter in the park for the European powerhouse.

DEFENDERS

Andrew Robertson, LIV vs. FCMI (€17): Choosing between Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold (€19) has been tricky lately, but given Robertson's uptick in involvement on set pieces, he's become much more enticing, especially considering he's cheaper. Both have a good shot at putting up a strong score with Liverpool favored to score goals and keep FC Midgytland off the scoreboard.

Kieran Trippier, ATM vs. RBS (€16): Trippier has yet to pop the cork on his attacking abilities this season, but with a healthy share of set pieces and in a favorable matchup at home against Red Bull Salzburg, he's high on the radar at a discounted price.

Joe Gomez, LIV vs. FCMI (€15): If you're strictly looking for defensive and clean sheet points, Gomez jumps out as a salary-saving way into the Liverpool defense. Of course, Robertson and TAA come with the added attacking upside for slightly more, but Gomez could be serviceable as part of a Liverpool stack.

GOALKEEPER

Pierluigi Gollini, ATA vs. AJA (€12): Gollini is coming back from injury, so he's questionable to slot right back into the starting lineup. He was the preferred starter prior to being shelved, and at near minimum price for a home favorite he's well worth looking for when lineups are announced. There's reason for hesitation picking a goalkeeper against an attack that is hot off dropping 13 goals over the weekend, but for the savings he makes for a good play in what should be a much more competitive matchup at home versus Ajax.
