RB Overview
Role Security: Medium
08/28/24 Kyren Williams is likely to begin the season in the lead role, though that may not result in the same amount of work Williams saw in 2023. Williams has missed 12 games in two seasons, due to injury. The Rams selected Blake Corum in the third round of this year's draft. Corum should be the change-of-pace RB to start the season, and his role has the potential to grow. Ronnie Rivers and Cody Schrader are expected to compete for depth roles.
WR Overview
08/23/24 Both Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are capable of being the top receiver on the Rams. Both receivers should be heavily involved, and it's possible that Kupp and Nacua alternate weeks leading the team in targets. That said, Nacua seemed to separate himself from Kupp at the end of last season, so Nacua's role seems more stable than Kupp's role. If coach Sean McVay's comments about Kupp not being healthy last year but is fine this year are true, Kupp could re-emerge as the lead WR. Demarcus Robinson had a significant role down the stretch in 2023. It's likely that Robinson retains that role this season. Tutu Atwell was a regular contributor in the Rams' passing attack during the first half of 2023 before being phased out. It would seem reasonable that Atwell remains a lightly-used No. 4 WR. Jordan Whittington has had a strong training camp and could push for snaps.
TE Overview
08/28/24 Tyler Higbee (knee/PUP) will miss at least the first four games of the season. Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen are likely to compete for the TE targets while Higbee is out.
